Aquamarine and Coral Pendant
Vintage coral, an ode to the sea. I love and respect the ocean for its strength and beauty. I work with vintage coral that was collected years ago, giving it a new life. Combined with aquamarine, the gemstone believed to be a mermaids treasure, this is a magical combo!
All of the coral cutting is done in the studio with lapidary equipment. Light and airy vintage coral adds the slight asymmetry with the coral fins angled and an extra detail…gold line nestled in the coral fins for that extra special touch.
Design:
This pendant is made from oxidized sterling silver with yellow gold wire accent embedded in the coral fins and rose gold details on the aquas silver bezel.
The coral and aqua are bezel set. My custom bezels are handmade specifically for each individual stone. The key features of my bezels are the hand cut notches that are placed asymmetrically into the bezel as an added signature detail. The stone is completely surrounded on all sides by metal. It’s the most secure and stable setting.
